Liverpool can be a bit relaxed after playing well against Chelsea n Villa. But Sunderland trip might be a tricky one as The Black Cats have already beaten Spurs. Sunderland boss Roy Keane has been dealt a huge blow by the news that skipper Dean Whitehead could be sidelined for a month by a knee injury. Latest signings Heinze n Robben will not take part in d derby. Athletico too have made good signings but they havent beaten Real since Oct 1999. Real will also miss Higuain n Torres but Casillas may start. Sneijder n Drenthe are also likey to be in starting line up. Reyes will return to Bernabeu as an Athletico player. It will be a very close encounter. Real should avoid defeat to show that they can defend their title while Athletico will look to humiliate under pressure Real.

Its been jus a week since d new season started n it cant get better with Liverpool taking on Chelsea at Anfield. Rafa has indicated that Gerrard will be given a pain-killing injection to allow him to lead The Reds against the former champions, but that will mean he will have to rest next week instead of playing for England. The Blues will be happy that their captain Terry will be back after knee ligament injury but will still be missing Carvalho, Ballack, Robben n Bridge. These 2 sides hav met 15 times since Oct 3,2004 n Liverpool hav won jus once in their last 6 EPL meetings losing 5 times(only win coming in their previous EPL meeting in Jan in this year). Liverpool have found it difficult to beat Chelsea in d league n hav already lost 2 out of d last 3 clashes at Anfield. But it is d Anfield factor that will b playing a crucial role as usual. Liverpool will b looking to pose a stong challenge for d title n for that this is a game which they must win.

The only good news United hav is that Tevez will be playing. Considering that City will be playing a home, United will be facing extreme difficulty in beating their rivals with so many key players injured. Rafa has no injury worries n Kewell has finished his first pre season in 2 years. There r lot of options for Rafa in d midfield with players like Kewell, Alonso, Pennant, Mascherano, Lucas, Benayoun, Babel n Lucas fighting for a place. Their captain Gerrard is d only midfielder who wil b surely in d starting 11. There is no change in d defense from last season. Villa will b without their number 1 keeper Sorensen n Taylor wil b between their posts. Carew should recover in time from hamstring injury to start d match.
