There r lot of options for Rafa in d midfield with players like Kewell, Alonso, Pennant, Mascherano, Lucas, Benayoun, Babel n Lucas fighting for a place. Their captain Gerrard is d only midfielder who wil b surely in d starting 11. There is no change in d defense from last season. Villa will b without their number 1 keeper Sorensen n Taylor wil b between their posts. Carew should recover in time from hamstring injury to start d match. Villa have not beaten The Reds in their last 11 league meetings n Reds haven't lost at Villa park since 28 Feb 1998. With good signings in d summer this could b year they have been waiting for.
