The plot involves Earth's vegetation unleashing an invisible neurotoxin that causes all those who breathe it to suffer horrible deaths. The protagonist, a science teacher named Elliot Moore, goes on the run with his wife and friends as hysteria grips the planet.
The Happening is both written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, The movie is set to open on June 13th this summer.
